This is the left hand front corner indicator lamp for the Volvo FH and FM version 2. The amber lens sits on a sealed body that shrugs off spray, dust and wash-down, and the unit carries its own bulb holder so it drops straight onto the cab corner fixings. The amber front corner indicator for the Volvo FH and FM second generation cabs, 2002 to 2009. The number also appears on FH12, FH16, FM7, FM9 and FM12 listings.
2. Which side is this one?
This is the left corner lamp, 20409874. The right of the pair is 20409875 and sits in its own listing.
3. Which bulb is used?

4. Does the cab loom need altering?
No. The lamp clips into the corner aperture and the connection is made at the bulb holder on the back, so the vehicle wiring stays as it is.
5. The lens is cracked but the lamp still lights, is a whole lamp needed?
A cracked lens lets water into the body and that is usually what finishes the lamp. Replacing the complete corner lamp is the repair that lasts.
6. Is it a Volvo original?

Two different marks apply to a lighting unit. CE marking covers the applicable European product requirements, while ECE type approval - the E-mark - is the vehicle lighting approval itself. Where a model is approved, the E-mark is moulded or printed permanently into the housing with the issuing country code, the regulation it was approved to, and the approval number. Those numbers can be verified against the published ECE regulation and test documentation is available on request. An approval cannot simply be applied to a lamp: it belongs to the product and to the manufacturer holding it.
