This is the oval watermelon marker lamp for the flank of a truck or trailer, used as a position and width lamp. It keeps a low profile on a slim black base, and the same housing is offered in green, blue, red, clear and amber, so a whole vehicle can be marked from one part family. Built for 24V, and the lead is already fitted.

This unit is offered as a spare lighting part. E-mark and CE mark are frequently confused on a side marker light. The E-mark is ECE type approval for vehicle lighting: where a model is approved it is applied permanently to the housing together with the issuing country code, the regulation and the approval number, and we can supply the test documentation so the approval number can be verified against the published ECE regulation. CE marking, by contrast, covers the European product requirements. Neither can be applied to a lamp that does not hold the approval - it belongs to the product and to the manufacturer who holds it.
