12V 3LEDs Licence Plate Light for Truck Trailer

This is the hat brim marker lamp used on truck and trailer bodies, and as a licence plate or clearance lamp. A translucent red hood sits over three white LEDs on a black base plate, which throws a wide spread of light across the panel below it. The base is drilled for direct panel fixing, the lamp runs on 12V and it is supplied pre-wired with a flying lead.

This is a replacement lighting component. Two marks matter on a side marker light, and they cover different things. CE marking covers the applicable European product requirements. ECE type approval - the E-mark - is the lighting approval: on approved models it is applied permanently to the housing, together with the issuing country code, the regulation and the approval number. Those approval numbers can be verified against the published ECE regulation and the test documentation is available on request. A lamp cannot simply be given an E-mark; the approval belongs to the product and to the manufacturer who holds it.
